2019 Grand Prix Cancelled

It is with great regret that the club has cancelled the Grand Prix des Gentlemen for 2019, due to lack of support.  Only 16 teams entered the event, with many incomplete through non payment, withdrawal or only one rider.  It is very sad that this unique and ‘historic’ two-up event has received such poor interest this year.  It does seem to be a sign of the times, many time trials have recently been receiving very small entry fields.  Mike Wakely was also struggling to get members to help out with the event as marshalls, pushers off etc.  Again, the apathy seems to be a sign of the times.
